The Accelerated Science group used chemical reactions to launch bottle rockets this week! They investigated different reactants to find out which recipe would produce the most powerful reaction and the most impressive launch.
On Friday the Chapter House children enjoyed taking part in the Mini Olympics that had been organised by Derwent House. Today, pupils from Chapter House Years 4 and 5, Kings Magna and local primary schools watched a performance (conducted entirely in French) about the Tour de France. It was performed by the Flying Theatre Company and the children were treated to a spectacle of singing, dancing and juggling, learning phrases and vocabulary throughout.

The children had a wonderful time today celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with a street party.
Reception have been reading an instruction book titled ‘How to build a tent’. Today they were challenged to follow the instructions to make their own tent, working as a team. It was wonderful to see the children learning outside in the sunshine and they enjoyed snack time inside their tent.
